That Armoire looks heavy...

If you've ever tried to move furniture, you know its unpredictable to say the least and injuries are not far off. This past Saturday, I helped my friend Pierre move a 100kg armoire. There were 3 of us to move it, so I didn't think it would be too difficult, but early on Pierre's old war wound acted up and he pulled out back. So while he's lying on the ground in pain, that left only 2 of us to move this behemoth.

To make matters more comical, once we load the armoire on top of the car, our other car has a dead battery, so we get to jump start that.. Good times.. Au Revoir

Random meaningless thoughts

No mind blowing revelations this week. I've been going to French class.. ALMOST daily.. Few bumps in the road trying learning French grammar, but everything falls into place sooner or later. Lets hope for the former. I went out looking to buy a bike for when the weather gets a tad warmer than utterly freezing. The weather feels like Kathmandu sometimes. I decided to wait a little while longer. Sorry I haven't posted too many pics lately, but the weather has been bleak, which isn't conducive for inspiring shots. I will defintely be posting some more interesting shots next month when I get a new SLR camera. Here are a few random pics I took this week. Hope you enjoy...

A few drinks and plenty of laughs...

Last night, I had several new friends over for drinks and appetizers as a sort of housewarming welcoming to me to Paris. By all accounts everyone seemed to have a good time. Its the type of evening that I hope to have more of. Just a bunch of friends together having some drinks and enjoying each other's company. Alcohol always livens things up a bit. I think we polished off 7 or 8 bottles of wine. Not like thats the point. Anyway, I had a good time, and it was nice to have over some of my new friends. I was forced to speak some French, so thats good, I guess. Here are just a few pics from that evening. I'll write more about it another time. I gotta get some rest for class tomorrow. Thanks again to Fafa for arranging the evening!
