Time to visit the South... of France

So I finally have some pictures to update the blog. For 10 days during April,I was able to stay at this breathtaking mansion in the south of France with Fafa, Pierre and like 10 other people. We visited Montpellier, Arles, Nimes, La Camargue, Avignon and a few small villages nearby. Basically we drank plenty of wine, ate a lot of great food and slept in this old 18th century mansion which felt as warm as a meat locker. I was able to squeeze in a few hours of poker with Eric while down there. I can't say no to a good game.

The trip went pretty well and I managed to hold true to my maxim 'Thou who doesnt injure himself often will forget what pain is like.' LOL. Just kidding. I managed to sprain an ankle on a run near the maison, then followed it up the next day slipping on the stone stairs and landing on my tailbone and twisting my other ankle. So that day, everyone got a laugh seeing me walk like a penguin. NO worries, I'm feeling better now. Good times

Here are some pics from the trip taken with the new Canon 20D camera. Hope you enjoy!

That Armoire looks heavy...

If you've ever tried to move furniture, you know its unpredictable to say the least and injuries are not far off. This past Saturday, I helped my friend Pierre move a 100kg armoire. There were 3 of us to move it, so I didn't think it would be too difficult, but early on Pierre's old war wound acted up and he pulled out back. So while he's lying on the ground in pain, that left only 2 of us to move this behemoth.

To make matters more comical, once we load the armoire on top of the car, our other car has a dead battery, so we get to jump start that.. Good times.. Au Revoir

Random meaningless thoughts

No mind blowing revelations this week. I've been going to French class.. ALMOST daily.. Few bumps in the road trying learning French grammar, but everything falls into place sooner or later. Lets hope for the former. I went out looking to buy a bike for when the weather gets a tad warmer than utterly freezing. The weather feels like Kathmandu sometimes. I decided to wait a little while longer. Sorry I haven't posted too many pics lately, but the weather has been bleak, which isn't conducive for inspiring shots. I will defintely be posting some more interesting shots next month when I get a new SLR camera. Here are a few random pics I took this week. Hope you enjoy...
